Manchester City have reportedly agreed to a fee with Portsmouth for the services of Zimbabwean striker Benjani Mwaruwari. So far this season Benjani has bagged 12 goals for Harry Redknapp, who has gone on record saying “Benjani couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn before this season”. While the belief of the transfer fee is around 5 million pound, Benjani is solely responsible for Zimbabwe’s training camp for African Nations Cup Qualification by paying for his country’s training/housing in France and being the 3rd countryman to play in the Premiership following the likes of Bruce Grobbelaar.

UPDATE  - Time ran out for Man City in the hopeful signing of Benjani, meaning that he will stay with Portsmouth.
