For the first time since 1970, Manchester City pulled the double winning home and away against Manchester United.  United, in a streak that had seen then win 13 games straight, were without Wayne Rooney and Patrice Evra through suspension.  Darius Vassell got City going in the 25th and new boy Benjani hitting in the 45th, while United could only pull one back through Michael Carrick in the 90th.  On the day that saw United pay tribute to the Busby Boys tragedy, United paid homage by wearing jerseys that were similar to those worn back in the day 50 years ago.
