If you think you’re gonna be able to turn on the T.V. Saturday morning and see the match up of the season, Arsenal at Old Trafford in the FA Cup fifth round clash, good luck since you’re getting Barnsley/Liverpool. Unless you’re willing to drop $50 for an at home viewing or want to enjoy fish and chips at 8am at The Fox and Hound, you’ll probably checking the internet like me, getting yelled at by your wife because the screen is too bright and she’s trying to sleep.
Doesn’t it seem like every time these two meet, excuses are abound in the lead up? This time it’s Arsene Wenger’s turn as he’s gone on record saying that with his teams injuries (Clichy, Adebayor, Senderos, Rosicky, Walcott, Van Persie, Sagna and Flamini), his squad is down to 14 traveling players. Wenger’s line-up choice will also be interesting since next Wednesday is Arsenal’s Champions League match against AC Milan and the big question is, does he save the players that are carrying knocks and risk the mental side of losing to Man Utd in the FA Cup while still carrying a 5 point lead in the Barclay’s Premiership?
For Sir Alex’s men, this is the perfect time to get on track after the loss in the Manchester derby, with the return of Wayne Rooney, Patrice Evra and Louise Saha. The only two missing from selection is, as usual Mikael Silvestre and Gary Neville who have been out of contention all season long. The Red Devils Champions League match Wednesday is against Lyon and you can bet they want to be firing on all cylinders.
