That’s right ladies and gentlemen, Fidel Castro has stepped down as the Cuban head of state after 49 years in power. His brother Raul is most likely to take over from him. Will this be the first step towards embargoes being lifted and towards a move towards democracy? I’m sure many governments are hoping for this, and hopefully it is a positive step for the citizens of Cuba.  With the US team playing Cuba, in Cuba, in a World Cup qualifier this year, there could be some huge positive steps taken in the relationship between the US and Cuba.
