Back in front of his hometown friends and family, Houston Dynamo and Hawaiin native Brian Ching are set to face Australian A-League Sydney FC in the four team Pan-Pacific Championship. While LA Galaxy and David Beckham take on Japanese club Gamba Osaka will take center stage at 11pm Eastern on ESPN Classic, the tournament is more of an exhibition/fitness match than what is being dubbed the tournament for “bragging rights” of the Pacific. At least Ruud Gullit was honest when he said it was an important match, “one they’ll take very seriously, but we’ll have to take care of our players”.
