After dropping more points in a 2-2 draw at home against bottom club Uniao Leiria, Jose Antonio Camacho formally resigned as head coach of BWINLiga side Benfica.  The once powerful club sits 14 points behind Porto and has been struggling for sometime under the Spaniard, who had managed Real Madrid before his time with Benfica.

With Freddy Adu away with the US Olympic Team for Qualifiers in Tampa, one has to wonder what kind of affect this will have on his situation being the second coach he’s gone through in his short time with the club.
