I was very worried that he wouldn't even have come close to being the type of player he was pre-knee blowout. I don't think he gets nearly his due for being the world class player that he is; but better than being a great player he has been a wonderful ambassador for the American game. It will be very strange for me to watch WC qualifiers and not see him scouring the box looking for opportunites.
