I don’t know how he does it, but Cristiano Ronaldo has now taken his goal tally to 34 goals in all competitions on the year after finding the back of the net against Liverpool during Manchester United’s 3-nil win.  With 25 goals on 72 shots on goal (and an amazing 60+ goals in 130 Premiership appearances), all comparisons now point to George Best.

Best played in a much different time (when tackles from behind were legal) and was the first legitimate celebrity in the game, but you’d have to think that the young Portuguesa has now wriggled his way into the same breath.

Oh yeah, Man Utd is on 73 points, 5 ahead of Chelsea and 6 ahead of Arsenal.
