I went to see Corinthians play Parana Clube, a small to medium sized local club. I would compare the match-up to the Yankees playing the local AAA farm team. Somehow, we managed to catch a ride to the game with the Parana Clube supporters group. It's a long story. The match miraculously ended a 0-0 draw. Despite the heroics of the home team the fans weren't the least bit please. Not just the hard cores, I mean every single person at the game.
