Nike Weightlifting

So Nike has decided to go big or go home when it comes to performance footwear for the Olympics this summer. We are all very familiar withNike soccer cleats, basketball sneakers, track cleats, etc. But now they have decided to do 24 performance shoes for 24 events. The shoes above are for weightlifting, and I have to say they actually look pretty dope.

Below is their gymnastics (yes, gymnastics) shoe:

And this last one for today…well I have no idea what sport it is for, but when I find out I will let you know.

More details to come on all of these shoes.

that last one is just a close-up of the equestrian boot. It looks like it has a built in spur, which is used to control the horse. Yes, I know I’m a dork.

Excellent point my friend. Had I paid closer attention I would have noticed that too. Giddyup!

You think you’re a geek? HAH! I”LL GIVE YOU GEEK!

That in fact is not just an “Equestrian” boot, it’s a Dressage boot.

(And I wish them good luck with that; it’ll be a cold day in Hell when you get a professional rider out of his/her Petrie or Anky riding boots. Riders can tell your boots from across the paddock, and Dressage riders are the pickiest - and richest - people on Earth. Nice try, Nike)
