Delivery Day Is Close
Filed under: Bumpy PitchEarlier this week I mentioned that we have a shirt we are releasing this Saturday, and things are coming down to the wire. One of the most common occurrences that we have found out about running a clothing business is that as much time as you think you have to deliver goods, it will inevitably be nerve wracking. I am nervous for every delivery as there are many working parts, and if one thing is off, the whole delivery can be delayed. Not to mention, if your vendors get an order for 30,000 shirts to be delivered in a week from a huge company, often times they will push smaller orders to the side in order to get the giant ones done.

With that being said, we were back at the print house this week making sure that the hand (the softness and feel) of these shirts falls in line with the type of shirts we always aim to deliver. Thankfully the hand of the shirts was up to snuff and full production could begin. With little time for things to go wrong, it becomes even more important that all the moving parts are working together to ensure the shirts get done in time and that they meet up to the samples that were created.
We’ll be heading back there, again, today to take delivery of the goods. Usually they would be shipped, but with the delivery date being tomorrow, it’s better to pick them up ourselves. There is a lot riding on this one so stress levels have been high. It will be nice to get this one finished up.
The manual press getting a little bit of work (they were actually screening our neck labels in at this point for approval)
Some screens that have recently been used.

I’m ready for a new BP shirt!
I’ve never purchased a BP shirt although I do like several of them, and will be interested in the new designs. Whatever you do, just make me look good for the ladies….
Thats our goal FC Uptown! Ill post images of the shirt and a description of exactly what they are for this weekend
Lotsa boxes from China
It was a ton of boxes from China. The company that those shirts were for are delivering 37,000 pieces next week. It’s actually an interesting dynamic. We have done everything domestically and as a result the price we pay for everything is much higher. But so far we have been able to maintain our Made in America ethos…although it seems we are one of the few left doing it.
What happened to the new shirts?
sweet… looking forward to the shirt!!! keep them made states-side..
Is that a private label deal or is it a seperate order from the screenprinter?
Does BP have an account for 37,000 pieces?
If so nice work Boys.
