Delivery Complete
Filed under: Bumpy Pitch, Red Bull, Red Bull NYDelivery day finally came. We had been talking about how we had a delivery of shirts that was due on Saturday, and luckily everything turned out great. There was very little time to spare, but as often happens, things got finished at the last minute, but the outcome was a big success.

The shirts we did for this weekend were a limited edition print that we partnered with Red Bull on. With Red Bull New York coming into town to play the LA Galaxy, Red Bull wanted to do something special for the day. They decided to throw a big tailgate party on the David Beckham Academy field at the Home Depot Center and bus in a couple hundred of people for the party and game.
Main tented area
Gaming Lounge
There were all kinds of things going on. Small sided games, freestyle tricks courtesy of the Red Bull Wingers, a gaming lounge, a performance by DreadStar, live artwork and of course food and drinks.
The shirts we did for the event were based on the concept of the LA v NY rivalry that exists. The shirts were obviously designed for the game itself, but we wanted to touch on the bigger rivalry that exists between the cities so we did a shirt with dueling cityscapes. We wanted the shirts to be able to be worn for more than just this game, and the feedback from those that got them has been incredible.
Once again, Red Bull pulled off a great event. Being a part of a tailgate party like this for a soccer game was a great experience. Having events like these at a game adds a whole other dimension that brings fans together in a new way. As a soccer fan, I’m going on record saying there needs to be more of this kind of thing.
Here’s a few more pictures below. Our boy Toby (click here to see some of his work) came down to the event, and he is an incredible photographer, so once I get some of the pictures he took then I can post some of those. Until then, here ya go…

Graffiti wall created on site at the event. Notice that the wall is a play off of the shirt we designed for the event, with the city rivalries. Big shout to Galo and his boy on this one!

Check out Borman’s celebration that forced Shep Messing to admit it was the worst celebration he’s seen!
