Just got back from the other side of the hill after picking up my custom ear from Hollywood Aid Services.

I met with Jeff last Thursday as he had to take a custom fitting of my right ear. The process included taking little bit of string, stuffing it in my ear and then taking what looked like a glue gun full of goop and filling my ear with it.

After two minutes or so and a lot of jaw movements to make sure it fit perfectly, Jeff grabbed both ends of the string and pulled the dried up goop out.

This is the magic they achieved above 4 days later. And here’s a simple description of how it works.

It fits perfectly in my right ear and attaches to a cord that goes over my ear, clips onto the back of my shirt and plugs into a 4″ by 4″ box that hangs off my belt on the right side of my butt. That box also has a spot where the mic plugs in.

And that my friends is how I communicate with the guys (sometimes girls) in the truck.
