NY Mag and Microfame
Filed under: MicrofameEver wanted to be famous? In the age of the Internet and cheesy reality TV shows, this could well be your opportunity. NY Magazine has a great story on what they have termed Microfame and the people who have achieved it.Examples of people who have achieved Microfame are people like Chris Crocker, the emotional dude that broke down crying on You Tube demanding we leave Britney Spears alone. Tila Tequila, the Real World / Road Rules Cast, anybody who has been on Survivor, Amazing Race, American Idol rejects, Mystery from that show on VH1 etc, all of them qualify. This whole phenomenon is definitely a sign of the times, and it seems like more and more people are getting their 15 minutes. Head here to check out the NY Magazine story.
Any of you have some good examples of who would fall under this Microfame tag?
And just for a sad reminder, here is the video of Chris Crocker begging us to leave Britney alone.
