27 year old Park Ji-Sung is out of contention to head to Beijing as one of three overage players with South Korea after failing to recover from a knee injury that plagued him throughout the 2007/08 season with Manchester United.

Olympic coach Park Sung-Hwa looked set to include Ji-Sung until the injury forced him out of contention, combined with fears over his Manchester United form heading into the 2008/09 campaign.
