Filed under: Guy Ritchie, Trailers, VideosGuy Ritchie might have been MIA for awhile (although his recent ad campiagn for Nike Football has been cool), but it looks like he might be back now. RocknRolla looks like it could be another hit in the same vein as Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch.
Guy Richie was a superstar back in the day, but Madge ruined him. Much more talent but same career arc as Ed Burns (keeps getting worse). Only thing getting me in the theater for this is Tom Wilkinson, who is one of the best actors around. (See his James Baker in “Recount” on HBO).
I definitely agree with you on his career arc. Sad that it has gone down like that. Sounds as if him and Madge are heading their separate ways too, which could help him get back to his better days. We’ll see…although I will be checking out this flick.
He needs to dump M and get with his london crew and eat fish and chips and limo to Emirates for games and drink Fuller’s and chase 22 year old starlets in bikinis around Cannes. That’s what his movie characters would do. Not marry an old pop singer.
I agree yo. Once they get divorced, he is going to be like a teenager that grew up with overbearing parents and rebel. Gotta let loose like that for awhile at least.
