A Chicago Hotel Room With A View
Filed under: Chicago Fire, Real Salt LakeFlew into Chicago yesterday afternoon for today’s Real Salt Lake at Chicago Fire match, jumped on the Blue Line, transferred over to the Red Line, jumped off at the Chicago stop and stomped two blocks over to the team hotel. Woke up this morning at the Avenue Hotel Chicago to not the greatest weather, but…
Had dinner last night with Elliot and Koluder at The Cheesecake Factory (Koluder’s first time) in the Hancock Tower.
In the middle of reading “The Devil in the White City” (about Chicago winning the bid to host the World’s Fair and the serial killer lurking around the city) so seeing some of the city’s buildings like the Chicago Water Works Tower was pretty cool.
Had my first taste of Wrigleyville. In all my years coming here, we’d never stayed downtown. Now I know why.
Even the kid from Real World was out and about.

That’s cool that they have you guys staying in the city proper. Thought they would keep you out in the ‘burbs somewhere.
Devil in White City only gets more creepy. Should probably try a little Giardano’s deep dish while in town too.
