From the Rosenborg website

According to VG, Cooper will soon be joining up with Rosenborg. Negotiations with Major League Soccer - who owns the transfer rights for the FC Dallas striker - have been going on all July, and looks set to be resolved soon.

“I never comment on transfers before they’re done,” Erik Hoftun says.

Speculations mount on the exact size of the bid. Rumours have suggested that the initial bid was around $1 million, or 5 million NOK, but the price has probably been pushed up considerably.

I’m a huge Kenny Cooper fan, but let’s be honest, he’s going to leave.
$90k a year just isn’t going to cut it and there’s no way he’s going to re-up (even doubtful if you throw DP money at him as he’s too good to stay here), so if you’re MLS and FCD you HAVE to sell.
Yeah, it’ll hurt in the short term, but if FCD can use their portion to find someone now, it’s better than losing him for free.
And I’d love to see what Brek Shea can do with more time on the pitch.

No doubt Coop has to go. Glad to see him get some $$$ after several years of being underpaid. But with Coop leaving, Toja leaving…wtf, who is left? At least super Dario is still with FCD.

Rosenborg is after rookie Brek Shea too, according to their website.
