FIFA 2009

fifa-2009-1

Looks like the folks over at Complex got to experience FIFA 2009 at an advance showcase. I have to admit that I have been a FIFA fan for years, even when everyone else had moved on to Pro Evolution. I stayed true to FIFA and as a result got ridiculed by my boys who kept reminding me that Pro Evolution was way better. Anyhow, according to the folks over at Complex, FIFA 2009 seems to not only have caught up to the Pro Evo games, but has surpassed them. That’s what I’m talking about. Redemption comes in many ways, and this just might be my daily dose of it. Head here for the Complex review. More images after the jump.

Just like you, i’ve always been a FIFA fan… I enjoyed the role play in manager mode and what not… glad to see the graphics/features are looking up, though.

Your loss not playing the PES series all this time. I really enjoy the manager mode from FIFA, but FIFA still doesn’t “feel” right when I’m playing (although FIFA 08 was MUCH better). I am looking forward to ‘09 for both, but for the first time may actually purchase FIFA instead of PES. We’ll see how the demos for the two games go.

I have been told for quite a while how much I am missing out by not playing Pro Evo. Its not even that I don’t agree, its just that for whatever reason I have been a FIFA guy. Some kind of weird and unintentional loyalty it seems like. But regardless, FIFA 09 looks and sounds sick, and building off of 2008 should mean my beloved FIFA is back as the best footie game out.
