There has been a ton of hype surrounding the Nike Air Yeezy. With limited pictures surfacing of Kanye rocking these, the hype on the old Interweb has been building. Now comes the first set of pictures to drop showing what many people have been waiting for. This seems to have been quite a collaborative effort between Kanye and Nike, and the result looks to me to be a winner. Sole Collector has an extensive write up on the subject.  Here’s a taste… “With West’s Glow In The Dark Tour projected to be epic by all accounts, with never-before-seen stage displays and extensive themes planned, it was determined that Kanye would work with Nike to create an original silhouette that he could wear while on the road performing to sold-out arenas throughout America. As the two traveled the country in Nike’s private jet for various events and projects, West detailed his aspirations for what look and statement his shoe would make, and he even sketched out mid-flight his early concepts and thoughts. Parker went on to align Kanye with designers in Nike’s Innovation Kitchen, who helped guide West’s vision and were charged with bringing the project to life over a design process that spanned several months last fall.”
