WTF Is The Montauk Monster?

So this little beauty washed up on the shores of Montauk (upper East Hamptons) according to Gawker.
Jeff Corwin thinks it’s an extremely rare raccoon.
What do you think? All I know is that I’d be running like a little girl if that thing came out of the water.
It’s been discussed too much, the common opinion is that its a dead dog, that has decomposed a bit.
I think its a smurf !!
