I’m going to ask the question that we’ve all been wondering about. What the hell happened to Jose Antonio Reyes?

Anybody?

Remember the guy that was killing it so bad with La Liga side Sevilla that The Voyeur dropped 10.5 Million Pound back in 2004? The guy dropped 16 goals in 69 matches with Arsenal and then forced his way out to get back to Spain with Real Madrid, even if it was on LOAN for Julio “The Beast” Baptista.

With Bernd Schuster deciding against signing Reyes outright, the other, other Madrid stepped in and Reyes was off the Atletico Madrid for8.1 Million Pound. Since playing 26 times last season without scoring a single goal, Atletico has since announced that Reyes will again go out on Loan, but this time to Portuguese side Benfica for 2.65 Million Pound or 25% of his value.

Benfica? No disrespect, but this guy was on top of the world just 3 years ago.

While he’s still only 24 years old and his fortunes could change, you still have to wonder what happened to the guys who played 21 times for Spain.
