Director Stanley Kubrick was responsible for a series of jaw dropping films including: Full Metal Jacket, The Shining, 2001, Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon, Eyes Wide Shut and more.  As the years went on though, the gaps between his films got longer and longer.  What was Kubrick doing?  Jon Ronson of Channel 4 in England gets a peak at the mountains of research that went into the movies, and inside the thousands of numbered boxes…

    Kubrick was a genius and one of my favorite directors.I read an article about this in the Guardian some years ago so it’s great to revisit this and to see the pictures behind the story.
