Keegan Sacked At Newcastle

SkySports News AND The Daily Mail are reporting that Newcastle Head Coach Kevin Keegan has left St. James Park over a bust up with owner Mike Ashely about the Summer Transfer Window movements within the club.

With Keegan returning just this past January for his second stint (his first back in 1997) as coach of Newcastle and guiding the Magpies away form the Relegation Zone, many were wondering how long he would stay after the out of nowhere hiring of Dennis Wise as the Executive Director of Football in January, days after Keegan had signed on.

I wonder if Ashley tied up Keegan’s hand in the Transfer Market because he knew full well that Wisey would be his coach in the very near future and didn’t want to force players on the soon to be head coach knowing that both Wise and Keegan have very different views on players. And maybe that’s why Barton didn’t leave….
