Man City to Challenge The World’s biggest Clubs
Filed under: ADUG, Billionaires, Dolla Dolla Bills, Man CityWhat a whirlwind the last few days have been for anyone involved with Manachester city. It was only recently that the club looked to be in a world of hurt, and that this season could end up being a very difficult one for the blue side of Manchester. But what a difference a few days and a new owner with billions of dollars at his disposal make. With the takeover of the club by Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG), Manchester City now has an owner whose pockets are deeper than even Roman’s, and who is looking to spend some of his scratch and win some trophies. Dr Sulaiman Al-Fahim has already stated that he wants to win the Premier League and the Champion’s League and that he believes Manchester City will be the biggest club in the world. The talk of which players will be bought by Manchester City has begun, with none other than Cristiano Ronaldo at the top of the list.
“Real Madrid were estimating his value at $160m (£90m) but for a player like that, to actually get him, will cost a lot more; I would think $240m (£135m). But why not? We are going to be the biggest club in the world, bigger than both Real Madrid and Manchester United.”
That type of talk is crazy, but with so much money at their disposal now, I actually believe we are going to start to see ridiculous bids coming from Man City made for players. Also on the list of wanted players… Fernando Torres, Cesc Fabregas, David Villa, Thierry Henry…apparently Dr Sulaiman Al-Fahim wants to bring in 18 players, and with Robinho now the highest paid footballer on the planet earning £160,000 a week, it’s hard to believe that Man City won’t get some of the players that are after. It’s been a crazy last couple of days for Manchester City, and I have a feeling this is only the beginning.

Oh, wonderful! For those of us who are fans of teams with far smaller coffers (in my case, Liverpool and Barcelona) this is not good news. I hope that some of the other teams resist the advances of Al-Fahim. Otherwise, Chelsea and Manchester City will soak up all of the exceptional talent. The only hope in that scenario, is that an arms race between the two billionaires eventually burns through all of their walking around money. A fleet hope, at that.
This is just another excuse for him to travel to London and spend a few thousand pounds on call girls.
