Manchester United’s Manucho has finally received his UK Work Permit, nine months after first applying for it.
Having originally signed a three year deal in December of 2007, the Angolan star was sent on loan to Panathinaikos and scored 4 goals in the African Cup of Nations.
Speaking to MUTV, United Chief Executive David Gill said: “We couldn’t get a work permit for him straight away, but when we looked at the rules we found that he qualified for a work permit automatically. He has got a lot of great attributes. You only need to look at the goals he scored at the African Nations Cup to see that and I think he brings something different to the team.”
