Monolith Festival Day II recap
Filed under: Music, Road Trip, TonusDay 2 started out as good or even better chatting up a storm with other festival participants outside in the parking lot. Colorado people I absolutely love your congeniality. Big thanks to Arby and John (I’ve never actually meet someone really named Arby so that was a treat in-and-of-itself) for the vodka watermelon plate you had going on. For Sunday the line-up included…
CSS (who can’t love peps from Brazil?), Hockey (plus who can’t like a band who has a song named Matthew McConaug-HEY!!), Band of Horses, The Kills, TV on the RADIO (who barely made it to the show because their bus broke down in, could you have guessed, Salt Lake City Utah),
and ending the two day festival was French electronic duo, JUSTICE. Who actually had the sound cut out not once during their performance, but twice! After the second time they had a little prayer and called it quits. I don’t think they’ll be coming back to Red Rocks again anytime soon. I must mention though, the energy these guys put out and the light show incorporated with there beats was definitely worth the trip alone.

Colorado I enjoyed you oh so much, but after two days of music, Wendy’s, Guinness and 14 hours of travel time, damn it feels good to be home.

Finally!! I was waiting for the Green Miami Gatos BP shirt to make it’s road appearance…
lol of course I couldn’t leave it in the suitcase.
