With the United States government bailing out insurance behemoth AIG, it was only a matter of time until we saw something like this.   The folks over at Unprofessional Foul came up with this mockup for the Manchester United jersey..not too mention I actually saw something very similar on CNBC earlier today. Darren Rovell was talking about the AIG situation from a sporting point of view, and they flashed to a Manchester United jersey with the USA crest taking AIG’s place. I’m sure there will be a whole lot more of this kind of talk taking place very soon. For what it’s worth Man United is now theoretically owned by an American and sponsored by the US government (well kind of).
