Classic

I was just thumbing through some pictures and information for some of the newer soccer boots on the market. Technology and advancements in boot making have come a long way. Crazy to see soccer boots described with words like:

“Tungsten powder-filled elements “

“An internal chassis that enables quick changes of direction”

“Carbon fiber is a composite material similar to but much stronger than graphite”

And how about some of the color combinations:

Pine Green/Metallic Silver/Red

Metallic/Indigo/Rave Green

White/Blue Spark/Metallic

I’m definitely not knocking the advancements, technology or even the colors. But in my opinion, the classics will always hold a special place in my heart.  What are your favorite boots of all time?

Check out some more classics after the jump.

i rock the all-black king classics–cannot be topped. vapors look like baby booties made out of hard candy. kings, copas, etc–that’s real football.

The ground is always so hard and dry in the early part of the season. My entire life I have worn a pair of plain black and white Diadora indoor shoes. Classic.

Nike Air Zoom Total 90s were my first favorite boot (the ones made out of kangaroo leather) and it was always awesome watching McBride play in them. Now my favorite are the Air Legends.
