Manchester United’s midfield general Paul Scholes will be out for 8 – 10 weeks following MCL damage after Aalborg’s Thomas Augustinussen went in with a heavy challenge in the 16th minute of yesterdays Champions League match in Denmark.

With Sir Alex already dealing with Michael Carrick and Owen Hargreaves carrying knocks, it’ll be interesting to see if John O’Shea or Darren Fletcher reprise their emergency D-mid duties or the reigns fall to Anderson’s feet full time.
