BP_TOW x NY_Boston = Fun Times … my turn
Filed under: Anthony LaPaglia, Beantown, Bumpy Pitch, Business, Celebs, Hollywood United, New York, The Original WingerOh yeah… when this was first planned out we knew that this is going to be a fun trip, some of the BP and TOW crew shot out to NY for the Grassroot Soccer Charity Event, some well deserved down time, a little bit of marketing and t-shirt slangin’ and all in all there definitely was a happy ending!
Ok, so there are a lot of pictures that I wanted to throw up here so I’m just dropping them on you after the jump with commentary… enjoy the ride..
I recommend Virgin, you are going to have a good time.. that might be the new motto of life actually
We got to NY early.. how early you ask? so early that they didn’t even have real people telling us where to go…
So we kindof had to figure it out
Good thing there was a cabbie or two available
So we settled in one of the rooms,
talked a little ish,
sorted some tees,
and then headed out to the match where I came to find my new hero, Ethan Zohn a great guy, Survivor winner who used some of his winnings to start up Grassroot Soccer
Quick thought…. If Gilles Marini aka dude from Sex and the City wasn’t such a great effing guy I would probably hate him; I can promise you that the Hollywood United FC crest shirt will be available, but I absolute cannot promise that it would look like that on you! The guy is jacked like that, he is a super nice cat AND he is rockin’ a French accent… whatever… I’m moving on right after I knock out a couple hundred push-ups
That banner right there is what it is all about, click on the link and give some duckets to GRS… Grassroot Soccer United is a youth-led movement of soccer playing kids around the world who are coming together in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa.
Down below Dunny is being interviewed and I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the limited edition BP eye chart tee coming out soon, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the hot Ivonne interviewing Dunny, and I would be especially remiss for not mentioning the extra medium shorts that Dunny is rocking
Pags in front of the camera… the guy is a natural
The two squads; I gotta say, hanging out with these guys was incredible, it was like having a real life Snatch going on right in front of me, I understood like every fifth word, crazy
Man of the match Anthony LaPaglia deflecting a couple of rockets
Really? it’s gonna cost me 350 bones if some jagoff doesn’t take that right turn on the yellow?
After the match we hit up a bomb spot in SoHo called Supreme. A skate shop that had some pretty dope rags
And then we found a pub called Puck Fair
Quick hint… be heavy on the pour… be really cute and funny… and have a nice smile and Irish accent, there just might be a bp shirt in your future. Princess Jacqueline got hers!
So here we are on our way to Boston
Stopped along the way for a quick bite
What is Dunz holding???
Hands down this may have been the best moment of the whole trip… seeing dude on the T going to Quincy and no one else even doing a double take… How do you know the out of towner’s? Because seeing someone on the subway dressed like its 1778 makes them laugh uncontrollably.
In Beantown, everyone is getting warmed up for a day at the office… RSL going for an early jog and Beans getting ready to hit up Boston and sling some tees
We didn’t have time for a duck boat tour… I was a little disappointed
This place reminded me of what I call my bedroom
I’ll take a double thank you
Another spot that was hella fresh
USC representing everywhere… aaand Clerys is a great pub
Ever wonder how those games come to your living room, well it starts in a dimly lit room like this
While Dunny acts like he is prepping for the game
Here the boys are headed down for some nice VIP access
Getting a nice look at the turf at Gilette Stadium
In the locker room
The best trainer and equipment manager in the game, RSL guys are good dudes
Dunzo getting ready for an interview
Here is the truck where they handle all of the television stuff when the team is on the road. They start setting up for a 7p start at about 11a
Inside the truck it looked like they are tracking Jason Bourne in there, but these guys are good!!!
Game action, ended in a 2-2 draw
The future of the game… gotta love the young ones
This is just out and about… needed to put them somewhere but didn’t know where…
Shawn, Joe, ISPS and Ives ….
Here is the homegirl Courtney, definitely an 8090 club member, she was a trooper… she was driving all over the place, had to work a little bit but she hung with the crew all weekend long.
The boys and Katie… love her, she is hella cool!
Dude, did every one of those guys in that place have on an Ed Hardy shirt?
Joe is THE MAN!!! he has Beantown dialed in!!!
So all in all the trip was awesome.. I would say that I liked NY but loved Boston. There was basically no sleeping the entire trip but it was well worth it. Hung with the boys, got a chance to see a few cities, met a bunch of cool people, got a couple of lovelies added to the facebook and made it to work with a couple of sweet stories… I will say this, the whole weekend I was hanging with soccer players and they definitely have a nice following with the ladies; Ive hung with NBA cats, NFL cats, singers, whatever and trust me, futbol players aren’t taking second to any of them, and that is the truth!!!
I.Shouldve.Played.Soccer

hire me…seriously. NASA is boring as hell and these pics are awesome.
email for resume k thx. haha. keep up the great werk guys. love the site.
Very cool, love all the pics. Looked like a blast. Great stuff!
great play by play ISPS. Dunny in extra medium shorts you say..bwahahahaha…I know he’d be giving me the same heat.
oh yeah.. you know we have to give it to Dunny a little bit, he is quick with the funny lyrics so when we have a chance to sting, we sting
