I love movie posters, especially ones that use the medium as more than just a promotional avenue for the film. There are plenty of posters that have transcended the movie and become cultural staples for decades (Scarface and The Godfather come to mind). Today I came across an article over at Smashing Magazine called 50 Beautiful Movie Posters. Some really cool posters that they have picked out…some from iconic films, and others from films I haven’t even heard of. I don’t know that I agree with all of their picks, but they did find some amazing posters. I think my favorite though might be this poster from Planet of the Apes.
