Montpellier head coach Rolland Courbis was sentenced to a two year jail term after being found guilty of “illicit transfer dealings” from 1997 – 1999 when he was head coach of Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille.

Alongside Owner / Shareholder / former Adidas Chief Executive Officer Robert Louis-Dreyfuss (a ten month sentence), agent Gilbert Sau (an 18 months sentence), Bernard Almiras (a six month sentence) and current Standard Liege Vice – President Lucio d’Onofrio (a six month sentence), Courbis will continue in his role at Montpellier while waiting the final decision of the Magistrate.
