One of the most successful Presidents in the history of Argentine and Boca Juniors football, Pedro Pompilio has passed away late last week of a heart attack at the age of 55.

Pompilio, who had been with the club’s administration / business from the early 1980′s and served as Vice – President from 1995 – 2007 before taking over as President in December of last year, was instrumental in Juan Roman Requelme’s return and the hiring of head coach Carlos Ischia.

Riquelme and the team dedicated their 1 – nil win at the weekend over San Lorenzo to Pompilio, his wife and two children.
