New England Revolution At Chicago Fire - 2nd Leg Highlights

They put up a good fight, but without Ralston, Twellman, Cristman, Smith AND losing Larentowicz in the first half just proved to be too much for the Revs against a very solid Fire tonight.
And don’t forget Albright will be forced to miss the first game next season after being sent off.

what do you guys think of Thorrington’s tackle on Larentowicz?
I’m trying really hard, as a Revs fan, to look at it without bias - but no matter how many times i watch the replay i see a very wreckless tackle that might have been a red card.
It’s a tackle from behind, the player leaves both his feet, and is nowhere even close to getting the ball.
thoughts?
I don’t think it was malicious, but it was from a tight angle.. the readon that is makes it worse wasn’t the contact, but the end result with Jeff’s ankle getting caught in the turf. definitely a yellow, have seen the red pulled, but i thought it was the right decision.
the toughest part is the Revs were just missing too many players and drawing Chicago in the first round was always going to be difficult.
I was at the game and love Thorrington and the Fire but sometimes he is sooo wreckless its incredible. The tackle looked terrible and I have seen reds for less than that. I couldnt believe Hamlett kept him on the pitch at the end when things could get chippy.
