Nottingham Forest And Andy Cole Go Their Separate Ways
Filed under: English Football AssociationUPDATE - Prolific goal scorer Andy Cole has called time on an impressive career after walking away from Nottingham Forest.
“People will look at it and say this is how they expected me to go, in a huff or in some kind of controversy, but it wasn’t like that. I just wish Forest could have been honest. I’ve always been honest in my career, maybe too honest for my own good.”
Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole and Coca Cola Football League Championship side Nottingham Forest have parted ways after the 37 year old failed to score in 11 games this season for the 23rd place side.
Forest gaffer Colin Calderwood said, “It’s a shame things haven’t worked out as well as we had both planned when Andrew joined us and we came to the joint conclusion that it was best we went our separate ways.”
