Manchester United gaffer Sir Alex Ferguson has been handed down a 2 match ban and fined 10,000 Pound by the English Football Association after the fiery Scot admitted to an “Improper Conduct” charge following United’s 4 – 3 win over Hull City on November 1st.
Fergie’s hairdryer treatment of Premiership Referee Mike Dean was thought to be given because of Dean’s reluctance to hand out a second yellow to Hull’s Michael Turner for taking down United midfielder and England International Michael Carrick near the end of the surprisingly contested match.
With the touchline ban in effect starting December 1st, Ferguson will miss United’s Carling Cup match against Blackburn on December 2nd and Roy Keane’s Sunderland at Old Trafford on December 6th.
