German International Lukas Podolski has come out publicly and stated his desire to leave Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the Winter Transfer Window.
“I’ve decided I’d like to leave Bayern in the winter,” Podolski told Bild newspaper. “I’ve told the club management I want to go.”
And despite not having the same impact that many thought he would after joining from Cologne following a highly impressive 2006 World Cup, Podolski has grown frustrated with his lack of opportunities behind Miroslav Klose and Luca Toni.
But Podolski’s desire to leave might not sit well with Head Coach Jurgen Klinsmann.
“We want to go into the second half of the season with a minimum of four strikers, and one of those four is Podolski,” Klinsmann told reporters ahead of the Champions League game at home to Steaua Bucharest.
Wonder how and if this will affect Landon’s possible move to Munich?
