With things not going well at Blackburn, Kiwi Captain Ryan Nelsen has laid down the gauntlet to his teammates and has demanded more during their frustrating spell.

“You can’t fault the work ethic but one mistake cost us a goal and cost us the game,” he told Rovers World.

“It has been happening all season. We have just got to cut it out – it is absolutely ridiculous.

“It is very annoying at the moment and then, when we get chances, we are not putting them away either.

“Not very many teams have had to win games against us this season because we’ve given teams games with silly mistakes.

“We have got to stop making these mistakes and start grinding out results.”
