US International Oguchi Onyewu and Belgian side Standard Liege are top of UEFA Cup Group C after coming away with a vital 1 – 0 win in the Serbian capital against Partizan Belgrade.
With the lone goal coming from midfielder Igor De Camargo, Standard’s second win along with their 1 – 0 home win against Sevilla puts them at 6 points, 2 ahead of Sampdoria and Stuttgart.
And with the January Transfer Window fast approaching, the success of Liege as of later has prompted some serious interest in their group of players, namely Onyewu, Witsel and Jovanovic.
