It’s pretty obvious that when you’re a club as massive as AC Milan and have the type of international stars on the roster that they have in today’s world wide environment, extra security measures have to be stepped up to the maximum degree and reports coming out of Dubai are estimating the cost is approaching the 3 Million Pound mark.

Milan play Hamburg at the sold-out 40,000-capacity The Sevens stadium on Thursday and more than 300 police officers will be part of one of the largest security operations ever undertaken in Dubai.
Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Khalfan Al-Mansoori, head of the Emergency Department in Dubai Police, said: “It will be one of the biggest security operations for us.
‘We are not worried because we are used to dealing with large events such as the Rugby Sevens tournament. There will be about 300 policemen from different departments providing full security before, during and after the match.
‘We will have officers in uniform as well as undercover officers mingling with the fans.’
X-ray machines to detect explosive devices will also scan fans entering the ground and sniffer dogs will patrol the stadium.
The police chief said no specific threats had been received concerning Beckham’s visit to the emirate.
