With the January Transfer Window in full effect, Tottenham Hotspur head coach Harry Redknapp has apparently not finished with his post – Jermaine Defoe wranglings in the market as reports out of England are linking him with Canadian International and Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Julian De Guzman.

De Guzman, 27, was named player of the season for Deportivo last year and has been attracting interest from clubs in Spain, Germany and England.
Middlesbrough have also been tracking his progress, but Redknapp seems to be in pole position to clinch the signing of the Canada international.
De Guzman is out of contract with Deportivo in the summer and the Spanish club will not want to risk losing him on a free at the end of the season.
De Guzman said: ‘There have been some offers made from teams in Spain, Germany and England.’
With his brother choosing Holland over Canada (similar to Owen Hargreaves) and the state of the things within the Men’s program, I wonder how bad De Guzman wishes he’d chosen another country to represent.
