Manchester United picked up another 3 points on Wednesday night, pushing them into 2nd place and just 2 points behind league leaders Liverpool but might have lost Wayne Rooney for up to three weeks after the England International limped off in the closing minutes.

Rooney suffered the injury during the early stages of United’s 1-0 win over Wigan Athletic in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
The England striker had scored what turned out to be the game’s only goal inside the opening 60 seconds at Old Trafford.
However, just minutes later, Rooney trudged off the pitch with a hamstring problem to be replaced by Carlos Tevez.
After the game, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed he is anticipating being without Rooney for the next three weeks.
Ferguson told Sky Sports News: “It’s a hamstring injury so you can’t do anything about them so we’re looking at, at least three weeks.”
