England head coach Fabio Capello has given his usual pre – match interview in the build up to Saturday night’s Friendly against Slovakia. Touching on the form of his right sided midfielders, Capello admitted that he’s been keeping a close eye on both Beckham / Lennon and offered up his thoughts on the temper of Wayne Rooney.

“Beckham is in a very good moment,” Capello said. “I watched on TV the last three games he played with AC Milan. He is in good form at the moment – he plays always in the first XI.
“I checked him in training and it is a very, very good moment for him.”
“Lennon is one of the most interesting young players,” the Italian coach said. “I followed him in the last seven games he played – particularly in the Carling Cup final (against Manchester United) and the game against Chelsea he played very well. Perhaps it’s possible he will play.”
Wayne Rooney should start despite Capello urging him to maintain his aggressive streak after jokingly calling the striker a “crazy man” in training.
Concerns about Rooney’s indiscipline surfaced again after being sent off for Manchester United last weekend.
“He is young and sometimes his reactions are not so good, but he’s a good player and man,” Capello said. “I spoke to him and sometimes we need to be a little bit aggressive during games.”
“I hope the level of aggressivity will be the balance. We like the players to be aggressive – but good aggression.”
