Growing up in Upland and being in what many would consider the heart of the skateboarding phenomenon back in the 80′s, the Bones Brigade crew (guys like Steve Caballero, Lance Mountain, Mike McGill and Tony Hawk in my favorite movie, 1987′s The Search For Animal Chin) were only an arms reach away with the Upland Pipeline Skatepark down on Arrow Highway and Baldy Pipe within riding / hiking distance from my house.

My personal board of choice was always the latest Steve Cabellero (the one above being my favorite which I rode to it’s destruction and mowed many a neighbors lawn to earn enough money to replace that exact deck multiple times) and today I came across this really cool video of the legend himself looking back, the days of inventing the “Caballerial” and how it turned into the “Half – Cab”.
