I was talking to our boy Nick the other day about music and soccer, and about how much both influence what we do. There is a connection between the two, but finding interesting ways to mesh them is usually the challenge. We’ve been having this conversation with Nick for awhile and he brings an interesting perspective to the conversation as not only is he a big soccer fan, but he is also a really creative artist. From designing record covers for bands like The Clash, designing t-shirts for The Ramones to directing this Oasis video above.

Nick told me a story about George Best being in a hotel room with a couple of models. He had room service deliver some champagne, and when the waiter brought it all in, he asked George Best “where did it all go wrong?” Because of this, Nick and Noel from Oasis made sure that there was a scene in this video that paid tribute to that.

We’ve been working with Nick on a couple of projects and are just about finished with the artwork for the first one. It’s something that we’re really excited about because it is inspired by soccer and music and it captures a specific time period and mood. More updates to come on this as things get finished and a release date gets closer.
