Allow Me To Introduce…

I want to introduce you to the newest member of the crew. This is our boy Jordan, and he’s getting set to head out on an adventure that any young American soccer player can only dream of. I’ll let Jordan fill you in on what’s going on with him but I wanted to introduce all of you to Jordan,  and vice versa.  Jordan will be checking in from now on and keeping us up to date on his adventures as well as bringing a different perspective to things. – beans

Hi, my name is Jordan. I am 15 years old and I am going to Holland by myself on Wednesday for 12 days on a trial with FC Twente’s youth academy. I will leave LAX at 5:00 PM and arrive in Amsterdam 11 hours later. Someone from Twente will pick me up and we will drive out to the German border. I have been training really hard for this for a while now. If I make it, I will go and live there. I have been reading The Original Winger since it started and I am really happy to be writing for it. I will keep you updated on how I am doing throughout my trip.

Best of luck, JP. When you’re not tearing it up against the Dutch, let us know how you got to where you are today (i.e., field position, club experience, how you earned a try out, etc.).

aww, good luck! that’s definitely a huge step for any 15 year old to make, but if you’re taking the initiative to go for it, then obviously I think you’ll have more than enough heart to make it.

Go get ‘em, kid. Play with your heart and your brain, play for your teammates and your system. Listen to everyone but remember that instincts matter, too.

And have fun! It’s a beautiful game!

I’m rooting for you and i’m looking forward to hearing about your progress.
