If you arent familiar with what a contract rider is, its normally includes the specifications on stage design, sound systems, lighting rigs, as well as an artist’s wish list. Apart from whatever they get paid, in the contract, the rider is a supplement of what is “needed” for an artist to feel comfortable and put on a good performance I guess. Apart from your usual stuff like transportation and billing, dressing room accommodations and meals, a lot of artist and groups pretty much go retarded and start asking for the most random things you can imagine.
Check out the stuff that Jigga Man needed for his stop at ASU a couple of weeks back after the jump.
btw he was reportedly paid $750k for the show
In some cases, a promoter will refuse a demand (crossing out the request on the document), though stars usually get what they want. The rider turned in for an artists is pretty much standard for every show they do, and they just let the promoter or “purchaser” for that show amend the contract a little bit. The school got a little cross out happy!
I guess the university cant hook a player up with liquor! and who wants Red Bull with no Belvy?
Now that you see how a real player does it… what kinds of things would you want on your rider?
spotted on the smoking gun. take a look at their rider section, they have a ton of stuff you be surprised at what some of these artists ask for!
