Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is ready to make a fresh bid for former United striker Diego Forlan.

City made an initial approach for the Uruguayan hit man in the January transfer window, but were put off by the £20m asking price.

But Hughes is now prepared to firm up his interest in 29-year-old Forlan, who has been prolific for Atletico and Villarreal after a disappointing spell at Old Trafford.

I can’t believe how well Forlan has done after ManU. Does anybody remember his terrible miss against Juventus? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_A6QHdWcXg

I dont understand why they have to be clowns. They have ambitions like every other club in the EPL. I agree they appear a bit desperate, but at least they’re trying to create a better product on the field.
