With his initial loyalty linked to the 2006 Presidential Elections alongside former President Ramon Calderon, Real Madrid and Director of Football Predrag Mijatovic have mutually agreed to part ways after terminating the last year of his contract with the club in preparation for a “new” incoming President.
“The Real Madrid board of directors have reached a mutual agreement with the Director of Football, Pedja Mijatovic, that his contract that was to run until 2010, would be rescinded today,” the statement read.
“The board would like to extend its sincere gratitude for the work carried out by Pedja Mijatovic during the past three seasons as the team has won two league titles and the Spanish Super Cup, as well as being runners-up this season, under his guidance.
“Also, Real Madrid and the board would like to wish Mister Mijatovic good luck in both his personal and professional life.”
